SUN (TIKI) DAY The Multicultural event that touched our Spirit
Surrounded by furniture inspired to the South Seas, in the amazing setting or Rome’s first and only
Tiki Bar, an event takes shape, one dedicated to the discovery of new flavors, to art, to culture.
Conceived by Alessandro Verrucci, the Sun (TIKI) Day is a new format that turns toward an
international public that embraces diversity and that looks to new tasting experiences. A Journey
through time and space, a sensorial path full of details that catch the eye, of mind-blowing scents,
of tropical sounds and unknown exotic plants engaging hearing and touch, all the way to the
unique taste of Tiki drinks and Hawaiian dishes.
Special guests like Cristobal Srokowosky brought along with them (besides an awesome 7 and 12
year-old Abuelo) a huge cultural baggage from their Caribbean experience of recent years, treating
clearly interesting topics such as the process of production, ageing and degustation of Rum.
Leading figures in tropical mixology like Oriol Elias, gave the event a special touch, with the
exclusive seminar “unusual spirits on Tiki Drinks“, where distillates such as Gin, Brandy and Tequila
are introduced for the first time in decades in the concept of Tiki mixology.
After Oriol’s unusual spirits, our aperitivo exposed our concept of food pairing in an exotic key, a
delicious and particular tasting experience, rich of extravagant finger food, matching an exclusive
drink list designed in detail to perfect the combination food/cocktail, where excellent raw
ingredients, meat and especially fish, are composed by our genial chef in order to produce a
degustation built on new flavors that you haven’t known so far.
Hawaiian food and culture, the unique details of our spaces, live music and dancing performances,
all this freed our mind, helping us forget about the fuss of everyday routine.
